We Avoided A Government Shutdown!
The Problems Solvers Caucus in the House of Representatives has again shown its commitment to bipartisan cooperation by voting with the Democrats to avoid a government shutdown. This decision was crucial in saving us from the destructive intentions of the so-called Freedom Caucus, which was looking to crash the government and send our economy into a tailspin. A government shutdown would have had dire consequences for most Americans, ranging from our children to the working class and senior citizens. The economy could have suffered greatly, leading to a possible recession.
The Freedom Caucus has been known for its ideological leanings, but it has yet to recognize that in a divided government, both parties must work together for the American people. The spirit of give and take is crucial for serving all Americans. Even the Republican Speaker, Kevin McCarthy, has criticized the Freedom Caucus for being extreme and wanting to “burn the place down.” This perpetual game of brinkmanship by the extremists must end. We call on American voters to take action now and demand that our politicians work together to serve the American people rather than just their self-interests.
At Moderate Voices of America, we recognize the importance of bipartisan efforts to prevent the decline of our nation. Our lawmakers’ political vendettas make our country vulnerable while our adversaries grow stronger in their influence worldwide. Therefore, we call on everyone to pick up their phones and express gratitude for the invaluable service the Democrats and Problem Solvers have provided to our nation. Moreover, we request our readers to encourage the Problem Solvers, in particular, to convert more conservatives into the caucus.
